Using the latest technology and equipment, we can place and finish concrete flatwork conforming to high flatness and levelness specifications. Planning and research is invested in locating local materials to obtain the best possible concrete mix design with finishability, strength, and longevity in mind. Wood forms are set on the job site, precisely to finish floor elevation. Concrete is placed at a low slump with a low water to cement ratio to reduce shrinkage and ensure lifelong flatness. A critical step is to float the slab with a power trowel and bump cut to obtain the high flatness requirements of a super flat floor. The slab is troweled over several times with power trowels and then cut to achieve the super flat tolerance. Proper timing in the troweling process produces a dense burnished-steel trowel finish that is super flat, light reflective and extremely durable with high abrasion resistance.
